Following the February Newsletter in which we presented the responses to the ballot, and with your comments in mind, your committee is taking the CRNA forward.

Our New Aim...

The aim of the CRNA is to promote the art and science of clinical research and to advance the education of nurses and allied health professionals.

Secondly, as mentioned in the February Newsletter, the committee asked a marketing adviser to help us reach a bigger audience and Lynda from ‘Time Graphics’ is now working with us, both on the updating of our website and also on marketing the Association and associated study days and conferences.

The new CRNA Website will be interactive, with pages for comments and questions, a news page containing research news, conference and study days, and so much more. You will also be able to contact the committee directly from here. We hope to have the site up and running during June, and in the meantime the current website has a notice informing visitors that it is under reconstruction.

Future Events

The Autumn Study Day, which will take place at London South Bank University (easily accessible), on Friday 9th October 2009, is proving to be everything that you have asked for and more, so put it in your diary! The agenda is yet to be finalised but will contain issues such as How to survive an MHRA inspection, the Mental Capacity Act, and much more; see flyer attached. Many of you will be aware that the conference was cancelled last year, so the study day will also contain the AGM, another opportunity to have your say in the running of your organisation.

This study day will be the first in an ongoing educational programme.
