Welcome to the CRNA
Clinical Research Nurses Association
The Aim of the Clinical Research Nurses Association (CRNA) is to promote the art and science of clinical research and advance the education of nurses and allied healthcare professionals.
The CRNA was founded in 1983 originally to support nurses working in clinical research in areas that include industry, medical research centres, university based clinical research centres as well as hospital and community based health services.
From this beginning, the CRNA has developed into the exciting interactive organisation that it is today, welcoming news and views from its members, as well as offering up to the minute topics for its study days and conferences and much more.
The variety and complexities of the role often means that nurses become isolated from their peers. The CRNA offers a quarterly news letter, an annual conference and a study day every year to provide networking, exchange of ideas and peer support for nurses and other allied health care professions.
The committee is democratically elected and endeavours to maintain good liaisons with other organisations e.g. The Royal Colleges of Nurses and Midwives, and the Institute of Clinical Research.
Membership
CRNA is currently reviewing its future and is therefore not accepting any new members at present. Further information will be posted on this website once a decision is made.
